Engineered flooring is the specification of choice for the period stone villas and new-build country homes we work in across Stirlingshire — a genuine hardwood veneer bonded to a stable plywood core, so it copes with underfloor heating and the temperature swings of a solid-stone house far better than solid board.

We supply and fit engineered oak, walnut and ash flooring from suppliers including Howdens and UK Flooring Direct, or we'll fit boards you've sourced yourself on a fitting-only basis. Widths from 125mm to wide 240mm plank, brushed and oiled or lacquered finishes, straight lay, herringbone and chevron patterns.

Because engineered board is dimensionally stable, it's our standard recommendation for kitchens, hallways and rooms with underfloor heating — the two areas where solid wood is most likely to move. Every fit includes an acclimatisation period on site, a moisture-tested subfloor, and correct expansion gaps at the perimeter.
